Drama

Drama has always been my first love.

When I first graduated all I wanted to do was work on film sets so I became a Script Supervisor. For those of you who don't know, this is a great place to be on set - right beside the director, in front of the monitor, with the script in your lap! You're also gathering information and liaising with every department on set - camera, props, sound, hair, make-up, wardrobe, production....

I spent several happy years as a Script Supervisor before my career as a Documentary Writer and Director - years where I learned the craft of filmmaking sitting right beside some highly experienced directors and it was an amazing time.

The last few years have seen me swing back around to drama again, but this time as a writer. The itch to write just won't go away! 

• I'm currently showrunning a ten part young person's horrible histories style drama series for TG4 with delivery due in early April 2025. TG4 funded the development of this idea and we then raised full production funding.  Am Abú is especially innovative in that it is the first drama series of it's kind for young people  being shot almost entirely using Unreal Engine and a Virtual Production workflow.. 

• In 2023 I was a finalist in Comórtas Físín short script Award, along with my writing partner Colin O' Mahoney.

• In 2023 Colin and I were also shorlisted for TG4's Tús drama writing scheme and received development funding under it. 

• I'm a Stowe Labs 2024 alumni for the development of a low budget post apocalyptic Feature script called "Remains". 

I currently have several other drama projects in development.
